Call for Artists!

Serenity Studio Arts, in conjunction with IBX arts, is pleased to announce we are seeking original artwork from local artists for our upcoming spring show. The exhibition will take place March 12, 2011 - April 2, 2011 at Serenity Studio Arts, located at 104 E. Main St., Elizabeth City, NC.
An opening reception will take place on March 12, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Wine and cheese will be served, and First Place winners will be announced.
Serenity Studio Arts is a community art studio located in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Through open studio, classes, exhibits, workshops, and events, Serenity Studio Arts has become a gathering place for individuals with an interest in creating art and being consumed by the artistic experience. We are pleased to provide studio space, equipment and technical support for artistic exploration, collaboration and the sharing of knowledge.
Artists of all ages who meet the requirements outlined in the prospectus are welcome to submit up to three pieces of artwork. A $3.00 non-refundable entry fee is required for each artwork.
Art in all mediums will be considered for this upcoming sales exhibit which will be hung to feature local artists. Works may be offered for sale.

First Friday Art Walk -- February 4, 2011

Has It! Blog Launch & First Friday Art Walk -- Help celebrate the launching of the Elizabeth City H.A.S. It! Blog (www.elizabethcityhasit.com) with a variety of activities, beginning at Museum of the Albemarle (501 S Water St) at 4:00 pm with a program and refreshments. From 5-7 pm, Port Discover (611 E. Main St) will host an open house. Then, Walk the Walk from 5:30-7:00 pm, with art exhibits and activities at Red Rabbit Gallery, Arts of the Albemarle, City Wine Sellar, Serenity Studio Arts, Muddy Waters Coffeehouse, and Page After Page Bookstore. (check with other local businesses who might be participating)
